Children and young people can be referred to the Children's Hearing system for a variety of reasons. For instance if they have been neglected or abused, are outwith parental control, have been absent from school without good reason or have committed a crime.
You can take a Solicitor with you to the hearing and Fleming and Reid have attended many such hearings over the years. With our expertise in the area, you can be assured Fleming and Reid take your child's wellbeing as of the upmost importance and will do everything in our power to find the best resolution possible.
We can assist you in opposing compulsory supervision measures which are not required. Equally we can persuade the hearing to attach measures to an order deciding where a child is to live (for example with a parent or grandparent) or who the child should see and when.
Applications are often made to the Sheriff seeking a Child Protection Order to address emergency or high risk situations. We are available to attend and protect your interests immediately.
